Avid provided a fairing to cover the open area between the turtledeck and the rear edge of the wing. Normal installation calls for the top surface of the fairing to be flush with the turtledeck; the outer edge is then bent downward to meet the wing surface.
Turtledeck to wing fairings
This fairing has been remade and extended to cover the wing.
The curved trailing edge on this fairing is a nice touch.
A cleaner look may have resulted if this fairing had been made flush with the turtledeck.
